Some Problems Faced By NABCO Trainees with Their Solutions

These complaints mostly cut across and as a platform established to give relevant information regarding the recruitment & jobs , Education , Scholarship and NABCO News in Ghana and the world at large, we’ve looked into all these issues and gathered these challenges with their solution which we are going to share with you in this post.

I can’t login to my portal, What should i do?

If you are a trainee on the NABCO programme and can’t login to your portal, this is the way forward. First, you need to evaluate the failed login feedback given to you when you try to log in. Mostly, the common feedback is incorrect Password or NABCO Number. So in other to have access to the portal, you can cross-check your NABCO Reference Numer and Password once again and if still, you can’t login then you have to reset the password.

I Forgot my Portal Password. Can I change it?

Yes, you can change your password once you forgot it. You can reset the password through the forgot password button found on the NABCO login page, then enter the email you used to apply for the NABCO programme.

Can I Reupload the Letter of Engagement?

Not quite long, NABCO sent a bulk message to most trainees reminding them of uploading of engagement letters and this message got some trainees confused especially those who have already uploaded theirs.

The message which was meant to serve as a reminder to the newly replaced trainees in some districts was mass sent to even already existing trainees on the programme.

Now the question that these old trainees keep on aking was whether they can reupload the letter of engagement and assumption of duty form. The answer to this question is yes if you haven’t done that before. But if you did then there is no need.

Also if you’ve already uploaded the said letter and realized you’ve made a mistake during the first upload, then you can re-upload.

I had payment message but when I checked it was NO Funds to load

There are instances where trainees get a payment message from NABCO but when they go to their bank to load the fund, they are told no fund to load. This case has become a common situation nowadays.

In most of the case evaluated during the course of the programme, when you receive payment message from NABCO and there is no fund to load, it means that NABCO has paid you but is just that your e-zwich card has a problem. it’s either it has become a Hot card or has expired.

I was not paid and the feedback was “NOT REPORTED BY MIPs”

Of late, most trainees complain that they are not paid and when they check their portal for the payment history, all they can see is NOT REPORTED BY MIPs. If you are one of such trainees, there are two things you can do. These we’ve already covered in our previous article. See the article here.

 I checked my portal payment history and I saw not paid and the reason was “permanently employed”

As part of the NABCO validation process, there are set up reasons that each coordinator is expected to give for not validating a trainee and one of them is permanently employed.

When a trainee is not paid and the reason given was permanently employed, it means such trainee has an appointment with the government of Ghana and is being paid under the controller.

If you found yourself under this category and you are sure you’ve not gotten any employment with GOG, then you must report to your District Coordinator for rectification. But please note that you must provide a tangible reason to back your argument since most a time the feedback is gotten from the payment source.

I was not paid and the reason was NOT Submitted Timesheet

Each trainee is expected to submit a monthly timesheet to his or her district coordinator at the end of every month. The timesheet together with trainee’s works placement hour and the assigned training programme hour attained is what NABCO uses as a basis for payment of trainees allowance.

If you are not paid for a month and the reason was Not submitted Timesheet then you should assess your self to see if for sure you’ve not submitted a timesheet for that month before complaining.

But if you are sure that you’ve submitted and uploaded your Valid monthly timesheet, then you are advised to visit your district NABCO office and lodge your complaint to the Coordinator for further action to be taken.

    My e-zwhich expired and was given a new card because my previous bank was taken over by GCB, I updated my portal with the new number and reported to my coordinator, since March till date I haven’t received any stipend. I have been to the headquarters on two occasions to further my complaint but still no sign of hope. I have been ejected from my house because of non payment of rent and haven’t paid my daughter’s school fees too, I am a single parent.
    Please help me!

      Please check your Nabco portal for the payment history and see the feedback. Also, we suggest you go to the district coordinator and lodge a complaint as soon as possible since the information gathered was that, validations of arrears are ongoing at the various district offices.

      Sweedy a friend had the same problem…she went to the headquarters..she said she did not even exist the building and she received all the messages

    from last year july till now i havent received a peny from nabco . meanwhile i go to work every day
    l have reported the case to my district cordinator at kumasi metro more than a thousand times but still nothing has been done about it.i checked my portal and they have marked july 2019 as not at post. pls help me because am really suffering. nabco no. asreg03344. thank you. pls respond ok

      Please try and contact your District coordinator once again and remind him of your case since the validation for arrears from January 2019 to December 2019 is currently ongoing at the district level. I believe your name will be part. Do that ASPA because it will end soon. thanks

    This is to confirm that Mr. Joseph Kwabena Jakpa,a NABCO Trainee under Digitize Ghana model has been at post and working at physical planning Department of Krach East Municipal Assembly since November, 2018
    A copy of the Assembly letter number KEMA/LG.38/34 dated 1st November, 2018 posting MrJakpa Kwabena Joseph, internally to physical planning Department of the Assembly with effect from 1st November, 2018 is here with attached for your perusal, please

    Please I face similar issue and my coordinator and the municipal Human Resources manager (H R)wrote this letter because they posted me internally but still no payment since December 2019 up to date
    Please help me out

      Please since your coordinator was informed of this issue and a letter of confirmation was written by the HR, It will be sent to the HQ for further action to be taken. So please give them some time to work on the issue. You shall be paid in due time. Thank You

    I have not been paid since last year October 2019 up to February 2020 without any reason, and I have submitted my timesheet every monthly and uploaded but I have not been paid without any reason

    Please i have been submitting my time sheet every month. But I have not been paid from December 2019 to date and I see time sheet not submitted on December 2019, vacation of post on January 2020 and not validated on February. I have complained to my coordinator several times and he keeps telling me that he has forwarded the problem to the regional office, so they will pay me.
    Am very not OK with everything at all.
    Please help me.

    Have not received my stipends from October to December 2019 and the remarks is payment validation not approved at my portal but, January and February 2020 have been paid.

      This means your Regional Coordinator has not yet approved your Arrears validation. Please exercise some patience as the VAlidation for arrears will commcerce soon.
