An examination is no doubt an important aspect of schooling as it happens to be the yardstick for determining one eligibility to move to the next level.

This explains why majority of students centered their reading on being able to pass exams.

As much as is important for you to pass your exams, is still not supposed to be the endpoint of your reading or studying.

You are in school to acquire knowledge with which you can be of value to yourself and the society at large, not just to pass exams.

Hence the need for you to read for the knowledge.

Unfortunately, many students are in this category. All their reading is geared towards only passing exams and this is why many graduate empty.

They might have good results but the actual knowledge of what they studied in the school will be lacking.

Examination they say, is not the true test of knowledge!

I am sure you must have heard that before. So the question now is, what is then the true test of knowledge?

The true test of knowledge lies in how you apply what you have learned in solving a real-life problem.

That’s the thorough test of knowledge. But if you have just been reading to pass exams then how can you apply what you don’t have (knowledge).

Am I discouraging you from passing your exams?

No. What I am doing is bringing to your understanding of consciousness to ensure that the sole aim of your reading as a student does not end in passing exams.
