GES: Update on Teacher’s New Uniforms – 11th April 2022: Earlier today there have been some social media reactions regarding the “perceive” uniform which is expected to be used by all teachers in the Ghana education service.

Images of some persons were seen flooded on Facebook and other social media handles wearing this soon-to-be “claimed uniform”.

In an attempt to clarify the public regarding those images and some headlines that some media handles share with the viewers, The management of GES has come out with a disclaimer to clarify the issues.

According to GES, the service is a large government agency and it will not introduce a uniform for teachers without engaging the teachers union.

It further made mentioned that, If the service wants to introduce uniforms for teachers it won’t do that through social media and over the weekend.

GES is one of the largest Gov’t agencies in Ghana. We employ more than half of all Gov’t employees. If we want to introduce uniforms for teachers we won’t do that through social media and over the weekend. In this era of unionized labour GES cannot introduce a uniform for teachers without engaging the teacher unions.
