Management of Ghana Education Service (GES) wishes to remind particularly, Candidates, Teachers, Heads of Basic Schools, Directors of Education, and the general public that the 2021 Basic Education Certificate Examinations (BECE) will start from Monday 15th November 2021 to Friday 19 November 2021 at all the designated 2,158 Centres across the country.
Management of GES wishes to congratulate all 571,894 Candidates involved for their hard work and fortitude so far and to also express its profound gratitude to all Teachers, Heads of Basic Schools, Directors of Education, Parents/ Guardians, and all Stakeholders for the crucial roles they have played so far in preparing the candidates for the examination.
Candidates, Invigilators, Supervisors, Schools Authorities, teachers, and parents are advised to desist from any form of examination malpractice. GES, WAEC, and the Security Services are working jointly to ensure the smooth conduct of the examinations at all the centres across the country.
Additionally, Supervisors and Invigilators are to ensure strict adherence to the Covid protocols at all centres,
Parents, candidates, and the general public are informed that the school selection process will commence after the BECE. Details of the selection process will be communicated in due course.
On this note, Management wishes all Candidates SUCCESS AND GOOD LUCK.

Why is it only BECE that that is accepted to enter SHS in Ghana.? There should be other certified examination. BECE itself is not anything extraordinary. I will not allow my child write an exam that doesn’t reveal any successful learning. Subjects like RME and Social should be combined and a lot of unnecessary stuff be removed. Studying about King Agorkoli doesn’t solve problems.
We are studying a whole lot of unnecessary stuff and GES and everyone knows that. The world is changing and we are still behind about 50 years.
Even ICT in JHS still study old stuff. When are we going to go forward?
