The National Identification Authority together with the Ghana Revenue Authority has rolled out a new initiative to make the new Ghana Card be used as the Tax Identification number. Starting from April 1st, 2021 all Holders of the Ghana Card can now use their number as the Tax identification number when conducting a deal.

In other to get the two cards to work perfectly, exiting users of the TIN will have to link their Ghana Card Number to the TIN.
A portal was created to help carry out this exercise in a successful manner. If you’re an existing taxpayer Pin Holder, then you can follow the below steps to link your TIN Number to your Ghana Card Number.
How To Link Your TIN To Your Ghana Card
First, visit https://myid.gra.gov.gh/ to log on to the official GRA portal.
Then Enter your Tax Identification Number (TIN). E.g. P00123456789.
Now Enter your TIN and your Ghana Card PIN.
Your Ghana PIN is usually written at the back of the card as GHA-12345678-9.
Enter a valid Email and Phone Number.
Click on ‘SEND OTP’.
Now go and check your mail inbox to get a 6-digit code sent to you by GRA.
Go back to the GRA page and Enter the code in the OTP box.
Now Proceed to link your TIN to your Ghana card.
How To Check or View Link Status With Ghana Card PIN
First, visit https://myid.gra.gov.gh/
Enter your TIN and your Ghana card PIN as shown below
Your Ghana PIN is usually written at the back of the card as GHA-12345678-9.
Enter a valid email address and your contact.
Click on ‘SEND OTP’.
Check your mail inbox to get a 6-digit code sent to you by GRA.
Enter code in the OTP box and press view status.
