The University of Ghana Medical School, Accra

Located in the capital city of Ghana, The University of Ghana is among the oldest universities offering Medicine and Surgery programme.

The University of Ghana medical and surgery school was established to help produce more graduates( Medical Doctors) who will help to solve the increasing health needs of the people of Ghana.

Situated in Korle Bu as a government-owned school, the school is well furnished with modern medical equipment for better learning.

According to the report, the dental department under the medical school is committed to producing first-class doctors and dentists through quality teaching and learning, skills acquisition, research training, and knowledge dissemination.

Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology Medical School, Kumasi

As a public-owned institution, the KNUST medical school offers the best programmes in medicine and surgeon-related courses.

The university is located in Ghana’s garden city- Kumasi. Named after Ghana’s first president (Kwame Nkrumah), the university of science technology was established to champion a pure science school in Ghana.

University for Development Studies School of Medicine, Tamale

The University for Development Studies is one of the accredited medical schools sited in the capital of the northern region of Ghana-tamale.

The School’s programmes focus on human development through the training of highly qualified and unique crops of health professionals who, upon completion, are able and willing to provide the needed health services in deprived communities, in particular, to improve the quality of life of the people.

As a privately owned medical school, fees are likely to be a little more expensive than public-owned medical schools.
