Job Description

  • Serve as an information resource and responds to inquiries from studentand s, public and college personnel regarding department activities, procedures, policies and programs.  May work with an assigned cohort of students to provide one-on-one check-in support.
  • Create and maintain confidential student disability files, ensuring that pertinent paperwork is recorded, completed and updated on a daily basis. Assist with record keeping, file maintenance, archiving students documentation, and with general office procedures.  Greet visitors and respond to requests and inquiries related to all aspects of the DRC office by phone, email, Zoom or in-person communication.
  • Maintain the Office operations schedule in collaboration with the Disabilities Coordinator
  • Collaborate with other team members on projects.
  • Assist with monitoring and maintaining all DRC equipment inventory.
  • Understand which assistive technologies are reasonable and provided to students with disabilities.  Including assistive technology orientations and one on one trainings.
  •  Provide input to assist with keeping the DRC web site current. Keep up to date on the latest disability hardware and software, be able to teach and monitor use of these materials.
  •  Maintain cooperative working relationship with College staff, other organizations, and the public.
  •  Follow all safety rules and procedures for work areas.
