There are plenty of colleges and universities in the US that do not require GRE, GMAT, or IELTS scores for admission. Here are a few among them:

University of California – Davis

In general, the UC system is well-known for not requiring standardized testing scores. UC Davis is one of those UCs that do not require standardized testing scores. If you are interested in studying at UC Davis, they may be able to waive your SAT/ACT requirement if you come from a school with a standardized test score below 1280 on a 1600 point scale. As long as you have 12 college credits (4 semesters) before enrolling, then UC Davis does not require standardized testing. Additionally, there are a few other universities without standardized testing requirements in the state of California including but not limited to: Berkeley, UCLA, San Diego State University.

Washington State University Vancouver

The Washington State University Vancouver (WSUV) is a four-year university that does not require any tests for admission. To be eligible to apply, you must have graduated from high school with a minimum GPA of 2.0 and can provide two years of employment references. WSUV offers 60 undergraduate majors and degree programs. WSUV’s international students will also need to submit an English proficiency exam score of at least 550 on the TOEFL iBT or 80 on the TOEFL PBT.

Champlain College (VT)

The Champlain College is a small school with about 2,600 students which offers an expansive list of bachelor’s degrees as well as master’s degrees in business administration, computer science, education, engineering technology and human resources. Champlain College has been recognized by Forbes Magazine as one of America’s Top Colleges alongside Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and Stanford University. *For its undergraduate degrees it only requires applicants to submit their GPA; no GRE or SAT scores are required.

CUNY Brooklyn College (NY)

CUNY Brooklyn College is a public research university in Brooklyn, New York. Applicants are not required to submit scores from the GRE (Graduate Record Examination) or GMAT (Graduate Management Admissions Test) before being admitted. CUNY Buffalo State is a public university near Buffalo, New York. GRE and GMAT scores are not required if you apply as an undergraduate international student. Only proof of enrollment at an accredited high school outside of the US will be accepted.

Northwestern Oklahoma State University

Additionally, Northwestern Oklahoma State University does not require GMAT scores for graduate degree programs. There is no minimum IELTS score requirement listed on the NOS U Website. For students with a GED who are required to take placement tests, this would also qualify as evidence of English proficiency.

Foster School of Business at Washington University: Applicants to Foster’s undergraduate business program will not be required to submit GRE scores if they have an undergraduate GPA of 3.0 or higher and have taken at least one quantitative course (calculus).

Florida Gulf Coast University

FGCU students who have done well on the SAT will not be required to submit a TOEFL, but all international applicants must still demonstrate proficiency in English through either a TOEFL score of 550+, SAT Reading and Writing composite score of 1000+, or an IELTS score of 6.5+. The MBA program at FGCU does not require TOEFL scores for admissions. If you are considering a graduate degree from Florida Gulf Coast University you can relax knowing your test scores won’t hurt your chances.

Lewis & Clark College (OR)

Lewis & Clark College was founded in 1867 and is known as an outstanding undergraduate institution. Lewis & Clark does not require GRE scores for admission and also offers a free pre-college summer enrichment program for all Portland middle school students. They are accredited by the Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities (NWCCU) and were named one of Oregon’s most selective schools.

Westfield State University (MA)

Westfield State University does not require GRE scores for admission. The institution is a public four-year university that offers both bachelor’s and master’s degrees. Founded in 1838 as Westfield Normal School, it is the second oldest public institution of higher education in Massachusetts after Framingham State University. This makes Westfield State College one of only two schools (the other being Berkshire Community College) within Berkshire County to offer four-year degrees without an SAT score requirement.

Albany State University (GA)

Albany State University is a Historically Black College/University (HBCU) founded during Reconstruction by an act of legislature. The charter was passed on February 12, 1867. ASU’s first president was former U.S. Secretary of State James Gadsden who is most famous for annexing Florida from Mexico during the Mexican-American War and later negotiating with Native Americans which lead to the Treaty of Ghent which ended the War of 1812.
