WAEC Nationwide Sensitization Programme: Empowering Final Year Candidates For BECE and WASSCE 2024

In order to promote the success and confidence of students, the West African Examinations Council (WAEC) embarks on a nationwide sensitisation programme for final-year candidates for both BECE and WASSCE for School Candidates, 2024.
Benefits of the Nationwide Sensitization Programme
- The sensitization programme equips candidates with the knowledge, skills, and confidence needed to perform well in the exams, increasing their chances of achieving excellent results.
- By providing clear guidelines and addressing common concerns, the programme helps alleviate anxiety among candidates, enabling them to approach the exams with a calmer and more focused mindset.
- Candidates gain a better understanding of the examination process, allowing them to prepare more effectively and efficiently. This leads to better utilization of study time and resources.
- The sensitization programme ensures that candidates from different regions and backgrounds have equal access to information and resources, creating a level playing field for all participants.
WAEC’s nationwide sensitization programme for final-year candidates undertaking the BECE and WASSCE for School Candidates in 2023 demonstrates the council’s commitment to supporting and empowering students. By providing comprehensive information, guidance, and resources, WAEC aims to enhance the candidates’ performance, reduce anxiety, and create an environment conducive to achieving success in these critical examinations.
The Basic Education Certificate Examination will be held from 8th to 12th July, 2024, with more than 600,000 people taking it whiles the 2024 WASSCE for School will be taken by about 448,000 students from public and private Senior High Schools between 5th August and September 24, 2024.
