Here, to obtain your grade, you will take the first best core ( English, Social Studies, Mathematics, and Integrated Science) => 1+2+1+2 = 6.

Now Look through your results and get the 2 best elective subjects ( Info. & Comm. Tech, B.D.T,) => 1+2 = 3.

(English + Mathematics + Integrated Science + Social Studies) + ( Info. & Comm. Tech + B.D.T)

=> 1 + 2 +1 + 2+1+2 = 9.

In this case, the candidate has obtained an aggregate 9 score in the above results.

The better your BECE grade the greater your chances of getting placed into the school of your choice. The GES uses the Computerized School Selection and Placement System (CSSPS) to place students into different schools across the country.

    BECE results are not calculated in the same way as the wassce is. With the BECE, you will take the four core subjects (Maths, English, science and social) together with any other best two electives. So it is not as you have stated here
