Management of the University of Education, Winneba has signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with the Africagrowth Institute (AGI), organizers of the Chartered Institute of Development Finance (CIDEF) programme globally.

The MOA will among other things allow the School of Business of the UEW to run Masters and certificate programmes in Development Finance.
Following this MOA, UEW will run the following programmes in the next academic year:
- MSc in Development Finance (1 year – Weekend and Sandwich modes)
- MPhil in Development Finance (2 years – Regular mode)
