Infantry/Armour/Artillery/Military Police.

In addition to the General Eligibility applicants must have 6 credits (not less than Grade C6) at WASSCE including English and Mathematics.

Pay Corps.

In addition to the General Eligibility applicants must have any of the following:

  • Six Credits (not less than Grade C6 including English and Mathematics) at WASSCE with Accounting or Business options.
  •  RSA Stage III in Accounting.
  •  Diploma in Business Studies (Accounting Option).

Engineer Corps.

In addition to the General Eligibility applicants must have any of the following:

Electricians.

  •  GES Intermediate Certificate in Electrical Installation.
  • COTVET Certificate II in Electrical Works.
  • City and Guilds Certificate in Electrical Engineering.
  •  Electrical Engineering Technology Part I (GES).

Plant Mechanics/Fitters

  • GES Intermediate Certificate in Plant Mechanic/Fitting.
  •  GES Certificate in Plant Mechanic/Fitting.
  •  COTVET Certificate II in Plant Mechanic/Fitting.
  •  City and Guilds Certificate in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering.

Survey Assistants

  • GES Intermediate Certificate in Surveying.
  • COTVET Certificate II in Surveying.
  • Certificate in Surveying (GSSM)

 

Painting/Sign writing.  

  •  GES Intermediate Certificate in Painting/Sign Writing.
  • COTVET Certificate II in Painting/Sign Writing.
  •  City and Guilds Certificate in Painting/Sign Writing.

Plumbers & Masons.

  • GES Intermediate Certificate in Plumbing/Masonry.
  • COTVET Certificate II in Plumbing/Masonry.
  •  City and Guilds Certificate in Plumbing/Masonry.

Carpentry.    

  • GES Intermediate Certificate in Wood Construction Technology.
  • GES or COTVET Certificate II in Wood Construction Technology.
  • City and Guilds Certificate in Carpentry/Joinery.

Welder & Steel Bender.

  •  GES Intermediate Certificate in Welding and Fabrication Technology.
  •  GES Certificate in Welding and Fabrication Technology.
  • COTVET Certificate II in Welding and Fabrication Technology.

Topo/Architectural Draughtsman.

  • GES Intermediate Certificate in Architectural Drawing.
  •  COVET Certificate II in Architectural Drawing.

Plant Operators (Grader, Excavator, Dozer, Backhoe, Wheel Loader, Low Bed, and Compactor Roller).

  • GES Intermediate Certificate in any of the plants stated above.
  • COTVET Certificate II in any of the plants stated above.

 

Electrical and Mechanical Engineers Corps (EME) 

In addition to the General Eligibility applicants must have any of the following:

Vehicle Mechanics. (Must possess at least a valid Driving Licence Class B with any of the under-listed certificates).

  • GES Intermediate Certificate in Motor Vehicle Engineering.
  • GES or COTVET Certificate II in Vehicle Technology.
  •  City and Guilds Intermediate (Internal combustion Engines and Motor Vehicles).
  • City and Guilds Certificate in Motor Vehicle Engineering.
  • Diploma in Automobile Engineering (GES).
  •  Certificate in Automobile Engineering (GES).

 

Electronics/Auto Electrician.

  • GES Intermediate Certificate in Electronics/Auto Electrician.
  • GES or COTVET Certificate II in Electronics/Auto Electrician.
  • City and Guilds in Electronics/Auto Electrician.
  • Diploma in Automobile Electrical Engineering (GES).
  • Certificate in Automobile Electrical Engineering (GES).

 

Refrigeration and Air-Conditioning Technology.

  • GES Intermediate Certificate in Refrigeration and Air-Conditioning Technology.
  • COTVET Certificate II in Refrigeration and Air-Conditioning Technology.
  •  City and Guilds in Refrigeration Technology.
  • Diploma in Refrigeration and Air-conditioning Engineering (GES).
  • Certificate in Refrigeration and Air-conditioning Engineering (GES).

 

Metal Smith& Weapon Fitters.

  •  Certificate in Welding and Fabrication (GES Intermediate Certificate II/COTVET Certificate II).
  •  City and Guilds Certificate in Electric and Gas Welding.

 

Driver Recovery Mechanics.

GES Intermediate Certificate/COTVET Certificate II in Mechanical Engineering.

Diploma/Certificate in Driver Recovery Engineering (GES).

 

Carpenter/Sprayer.

  • GES Intermediate Certificate/COTVET Certificate II in Wood Construction Technology and Creative Art Technology.
  • Diploma/Certificate in Auto Body Spraying and Painting Engineering.
  • City and Guilds Certificate in Carpentry and Painting.

 

Signals Corps

Operation Group.

In addition to the General Eligibility applicants must have 6 credits (not less than Grade C6) at WASSCE including English and Mathematics.  Possession of a valid driving licence is an advantage.

Radio Technician.

In addition to the General Eligibility applicant must have Mathematics, Physics, Elective Mathematics and any of the following:

  •   City and Guilds Certificate in Electronics.
  • City and Guilds Certificate in Telecommunications.

Line Technician.

In addition to the General Eligibility applicants must have 6 credits (not less than Grade C6) at WASSCE including English and Mathematics and any of the following:

  • Certificate in Fibre Optics Technology.
  • Certificate in RF Engineering.
  • Certificate in Satellite Communications.

 

Directorate of Information Technology(DIT). In addition to the General Eligibility applicants must have 6 credits (not less than Grade C6) at WASSCE including English and Mathematics and any of the following:

Network Administration: N+ Certificate from a recognised Institution including knowledge in LINUX/Windows Server 2003, 2008 and above.

Database Administration: Certification in My SQL, SQL, and Oracle from a recognised Institution.

Computer Programming: Certification in VB, C++ and Java from a recognised Institution.

Web Designing: Certification in HTML, PHP, CSS, CMS, Adobe and Photoshop from a recognised Institution.

 

Supply and Transport Corps.

In addition to the General Eligibility applicants must have 6 credits (not less than Grade C6) at WASSCE including English and Mathematics and any of the following:

Drivers. Professional Driving Licence Class B.

Supply Clerks/Storeman. Certificate in computer software applications (Word, Excel, Access, Corel Drawing etc) from a recognised Institution.

Movement: Diploma/Certificate in Freight Forwarding/Air Travel and Tour from a recognised Institution.

Fireman/Woman: Certificate in Fire Fighting from National Fire Service plus professional Driving Licence class B.

Cooks: In addition to the General Eligibility applicants must have the following qualification from a recognised Institution.

  • HND in Catering.
  • Diploma in Catering.
  • NVTI Grade I & II.

 

Public Relations Corps.

In addition to the General Eligibility applicants must have any of the following:

Information Assistants: Diploma/Certificate (not less than one year continuous study) from a recognised/accredited institution in Journalism, Public Relations, English Language /Literature, Broadcasting, Communication Studies or Photo journalism.

Photographers: Diploma/Certificate (not less than one year continuous study) from a recognised/accredited institution in general photography.

Cinematographer: Diploma/Certificate (not less than one year continuous study) from a recognised/accredited institution in Fine Art, Film Editing, Camera Work, Lighting, Film Directing, Sound, Graphic Design or Animation.

 

Ordnance Corps.

Storeman/Woman. In addition to General Eligibility applicants must have 6 credits (not less than Grade C6) at WASSCE and Diploma in Business Studies and HND in Purchasing and Supply.

Ammunition Technicians.  In addition to General Eligibility applicants must have 6 credits (not less than Grade C6) at WASSCE including science subjects.

Tailors: In addition to General Eligibility applicants must have any of the following:

  •  GES Intermediate Certificate.
  • COVET Certificate II.

Clerk General Duties. In addition to General Eligibility applicants must have 6 credits (not less than Grade C6) at WASSCE including Credit in English and Mathematics and any of the following.

  • RSA Stage III in secretarial duties and credit in typing.
  • Typist Grade I and II Certificate from Government Secretarial School.
  • Stenographer Grade II Certificate.
  • DBS (Secretarial Option).
  • Certificate in computer software applications (Word, Excel, Access, Corel Drawing etc) from a recognised Institution.

 

Education Corps.

In addition to General Eligibility applicants must have 6 credits (not less than Grade C6) at WASSCE including English and Mathematics and any of the following.

  • Teachers Post-Secondary Certificate A.
  • Teachers Post-Secondary Certificate A (French).
  • Diploma in Education.
  • Diploma in Education (French)
