To renew your membership card, there is a simple shortcode you will have to dial on your mobile phones.

This code works via all mobile money services in Ghana (MTN Mobile Money, AirtelTigo Cash, and Vodafone Cash).

First, you have to open your phone dialer and dial *929#

Now, you’ll be asked to select the option. choose option 2 (Renew membership)

Now, select option 1 (NHIS Card) and enter your NHIS Membership 8-digit Number.

Once you enter the right digits, you’ll prompt to key in an amount(GHS 21) from your mobile money wallet.

Follow the next instructions to fully make payment.

Once everything goes well, you’ll receive an SMS from the NHIA confirming your card renewal details.
