The West African Examinations Council, WAEC has released the results of the recently ended 2022 West African Senior School Certificate Examinations, (WASSCE) . Candidates who sat for the Wassce examination can follow the below steps to check their wassce results.

How to Check your results using Phone(SMS)

First, you have to buy the Waec Result checker from waec. Then follow the below steps to check your results using your mobile phone.

On your phone menu apps, locate the SMS App.
Open a new Message and Type (Waec*ExamsNo*PIN*Exams Year) .e.g Waec*4123456789*123456789012*2022
Send the message to the shortcode 32327
After successful checking, the results will be sent to you through an SMS and from there you can see the results.

Please note that: The Shortcode only works for MTN users. Charges will also be applied

How to Check your Results Online

Visit the waec results checking portal via https://www.waecdirect.org/
Enter your 10-digit WAEC Examination Number. (This is your 7-Digit centre number followed by your 3-digit candidate number eg. 4123456789).
Enter the 4 digits of your Examination Year eg. 2022
Select the Type of Examination
Enter the e-PIN Voucher Number
Enter the Personal Identification Number (PIN) on your e-PIN
Click Submit and wait for the results window to come up

About the WASSCE 2022 Nigeria Results

While speaking to journalists in Lagos, Head of Nigeria National Office (HNO) Patrick Areghan confirmed that of the 1, 061,047 candidates who sat the test, 365,564 candidates, or 22.83 % of the total number, had their results withheld due to various incidences of misconduct.

A total of 1,607,981 candidates enrolled for the exam from the country’s 20,222 secondary schools, with 796,217 males and 804,830 females. He went on to say that 1,713 people with varying degrees of special needs have registered for the test.

According to the HNO, 1,409,529 candidates (88.04%) received credit or higher in a minimum of five subjects.
