Dear Sir,

PETITION BY NABCO TRAINEES WITH ARREARS NATIONWIDE

We are writing to you after much deliberation and pain about an issue we are facing. The Nation Builders Corp(NABCO) programme is a government initiative to tackle graduate unemployment to solve social problems, but, unfortunately, it has worsened the conditions of some trainees.

We would like to briefly elaborate on the main source of concern;

  • E-ZWICH CARD RELATED ARREARS: Trainees under this category are those who replaced lost/expired /frozen e-zwich and updated the new one on their portal. Such trainees have remarks like: “Duplicate department number blocked”. This has been evident for months now and payment of stipends to such trainees has seized.
  • GENERAL ARREARS: Trainees under this category are those who have not been paid due to validation issues. some were validated by district, but not regional – and vice versa.
  • MISSING 2019 ARREAR: Such trainees have a chuck or most their arrears dating back to 2019 missing on their portal. All attempts to reach the various district coordinators for explanations have proven futile.

It is so pathetic and heartbreaking for some of us trainees to work hard, complete tasks gave us and follow all the protocols for payment, yet remain unpaid. This causing much financial hardship and mental stress to trainees. Some of us have been without payment for 12, 10 with the minimum being 4 months.

We all agree that we are not in normal times and that these are periods of uncertainty, however, the truth is that we still have to afford rent, bills, and other responsibilities. Now that our little savings have been depleted, please look into this matter with priority as we are suffering due to the unpaid stipends. We will be eternally grateful if you can look into the matter and resolve it for us.
Thank you.

Yours faithfully,
Signed
