Many trainees are wondering as to whether they will continue to be at post or not. At the same time, these trainees are still not certain of the government’s decision to maintain them at their current place of work.

In light of these, the president of the NABCO Trainees Association of Ghana (NABTAG) has come out with an update regarding trainees Status in October 2021 as well as the permanent employment being promised to them by the president of Ghana.

NABCO—THE OUTLOOK FOR THE MONTH OF OCTOBER

The Nation Building Journey for the first cohort of beneficiaries expires by the end of October, as per the terms of engagement.

Concerns regarding whether or not the month of October is designated as a leave month is subject to managerial directive. In the meantime, trainees are expected to remain at post and follow all subsequent directives from National Secretariat. It is absolutely improper for any trainee to adhere to hearsays without confirming with the appropriate authority.

Permanent Employment

We are very much aware of the ongoing exit pathway arrangements, which reaffirm the assurance given by the president, to adopt the requisite measures for trainees’ absorption into permanent streams of work. As it stands, we do not have any reason to doubt the actuality of the transition to permanent employment.

Appreciation of NABCO Coordinators and Management Staff Members

Our Coordinators and Management Staff Members have been indispensable in giving life to the broader vision of the Akufo Addo-led government, to equip the youth with relevant skills and experiences required for them to be productive in their respective institutions as they graduate. The turnout of the status of affairs within the NABCO scheme—the ostensive successes—reflects the product of the undying support from these magnates.

Notwithstanding the remuneration attached to their respective outfits, it is as a matter of showing gratitude as receivers (in part) of the outcome of their hard work, that NABTAG came up with the appreciation project.

Current Status of the Appreciation Project

Mass production of Citation artworks has begun, through the kindness of some beneficiaries who saw the need to voluntarily contribute towards making this meaningful project a success. The National President of NABTAG, Dennis Katakyie, has, having been moved by the unending flow of love for Coordinators and Management Staff Members, persistently proven the necessity of this exercise on several media platforms.
