If you can recall, the NABCO programme was established in the year 2018, and ever since Dr. Ibrahim Anyars was made to head the institution. He has contributed significantly to the Nation-builders corps which has brought all the positive impact to the programmee.

Dr.Ibrahim Anyars decided to contest for the Tamale Central seat in the 2020 December election but luck was not by his side as he was beaten by the current MP, Mohammed Murtala of the NDC.

Established in October 2018 to address graduate unemployment, the programme has seen beneficiaries supporting public service delivery in health, education, agriculture, technology, governance, and revenue mobilization.

About 100,000 people were recruited at the beginning of the scheme with several of them exiting upon finding a source of livelihood. Over 11,000 beneficiaries of the Nation Builders Corps (NABCo) have so far exited from the programme after successfully securing permanent employment or establishing their own businesses.

The scheme was crafted as an opportunity to bridge the world of academia and the corporate world so that the very deficit that has created a gap between them and the labour market could be addressed.
