University of Ghana August 2023 Congregation Ceremony

University of Ghana announces that a Congregation Ceremony will be held for Undergraduate students of the School of Law, the University of Ghana Medical School and the School of Biomedical and Allied Health Sciences who successfully completed their programmes of study during the 2022/2023 academic year, as follows:

Date:  Saturday, August 19, 2023 – 10:00
Venue:  Great Halll, University of Ghana
Time: 10:00 a.m. (Graduands to be seated by 9:00 a.m.)

Accordingly, students who have completed their programmes of study and wish to be presented during the August 2023 Congregation Ceremony are required to take note of the following:

  1. Check to confirm that their names appear on the list of graduating students.
  2. Ensure that all outstanding financial obligations to the University have been fulfilled.
  3. Register online from Wednesday August 16 – Thursday, August 17, 2023.
  4. Graduands are required to pay a graduation fee of GH₵300
  5. Payment shall be made through Mobile Money only.
  6. Graduands should pick up their academic gowns from their respective Schools.

List of graduands to be presented at the August 2023 Congregation Ceremony will be available on the University’s website at: https://www.ug.edu.gh

Graduating students should note the following:

Admission to the congregation venue is strictly by invitation. (Each graduand may invite a maximum of two guests).

Graduands are also expected to be seated at the Great Hall in the academic gown appropriate to their degrees, worn preferably over a suit/jacket with tie, or other suitable attire.

To avoid traffic congestion on the Congregation day:

  1. All entry and exit points to/from the Legon Campus, University of Ghana will be opened to the public.
  2. The general public is advised to use alternative routes if they do not have any immediate business on the Legon Campus.
