The academic year for Senior High Schools, Senior High Technical Schools, and Second Cycle Schools running the GES Transitional Calendar was released earlier this year which still requires careful management and coordination.

In this regard, school management plays an important role in ensuring that the academic calendar runs smoothly and that all stakeholders are informed of any changes or updates.

Easter Break Update

In a recent communication dated 3rd April, 2023, management of Ghana Education Service has reminded Heads of all Senior High Schools/Senior High Technical Schools that students should break on Thursday April 6, 2023, for the Easter Holidays.

Re-Opening Date For SHS 1 Students

Additionally, Heads of Second Cycle Schools running the Transitional Calendar have been informed that SHS One (1) students are to continue with their vacation until their scheduled re-opening in June 2023.

The Regional Directors under the Ghana Education Service (GES) have also been directed to ensure that Heads of Second Cycle Schools in their respective regions take note of these directives and comply accordingly to facilitate a smooth running of the academic year.

This announcement reflects the importance of effective communication and coordination in managing the academic year and ensuring that all stakeholders are well-informed and engaged.
