Even though the programme still has some challenges, but in general, the programme has been a beneficial one.

In the previous months, there have been some challenges with the payment of trainees’ stipends most especially when it comes to the end-of-the-year payment (December).

If you can recall, last year when trainees were expecting a payment to celebrate their Christmas, NABCO gave deaf ears to them and went to pay December 2019 in mid-January 2020. This year, it seems things are about to change.

Information gathered from the ground shows that NABCO December 2020 stipends will be paid before 24th December 2020. This is so because NABCO wants to put money in the pocket of trainees so they can enjoy the Xmas.

To confirm this, we took a step further to find out more information regarding this current development and from what with gathered, Validation for December 2020 stipends is ongoing and so far, almost all District coordinators have finished and submitted their validation waiting for approvals from the Regional Coordiators.

This confirms our earlier information gathered (Stipends to be paid before the 24th) because, in most cases, validation for payment of stipends always starts from the 24th to the 30th of every month.

So if this month’s validation has already started and almost at the completion stage, it means, NABCO will payment the stipends earlier than their usual payment period.
