NABCO! New Engagement Letter & Assumption of Duty Form: See Why You Received That Message

Most trainees woke up this morning and begin to receive a message from NABCO, instructing them to download both Assumptions of Duty form and that of Engagement letter and reupload them.

“Dear NABCO trainee #NABCONRDIG00000, you are reminded to print, sign and upload the signed copies of your assumption of duty and engagement letters before 14th of March 2020 if you have not done so already.”

This message has got many confused especially those who have already uploaded the said documents at the earlier stage of the Programme.

As a trainee under the NABCO programme, you are required to first accept engagement by downloading, sign and upload the engagement letter from your NABCO portal.

After accepting an engagement, you are then required to report to your placement institution with your copy of the postings letter.

Once you are accepted in the institution, you’ll then have to download Assumption of duty form from your portal once again and then send it to the placement institution for your immediate supervisor to endorse. This you’ll have to reupload on the portal to show that you’ve really reported to the institution being placed.

Now the problem is this, most trainees have been posted to some institutions at the beginning of the programme, but during the course of the programme, there were some transfers from one District to the other, or Region to Region transfer.

When the transfers took place, most of these trainees portal still have the old postings signed Assumption of Duty form on their portal.

NABCO being serious about their trainee’s records, they are looking for a way to know the exact whereabouts of all trainees. In that case, the only way to get to know is to let these trainees reupload the Assumption of Duties form, signed by the new institutions’ immediate supervisor. Hence the New message received.

What to do if you already uploaded the said documents

Most trainees have already uploaded their Assumption of Duty form but still, get that message. In this case, you have nothing to do. Just ignore the message.

What to do if you are transferred from one institution to another?

Login to your portal and download the Assumption of Duty form. Send it to your current institution for endorsement after that you reupload it to your portal.

What to do if you have been transferred from one District to Another

You are also required to reupload the new Assumption of Duty form. Login to your Portal and download the form. Send it yo your new Placement institution in the new District transferred to endorse after that you then send to your District Coordinator to also endorse his part.
