Update on Nation Builders Corps (NABCO) Scheme 2022: Per the engagement letter of the NABCO trainees, the NABCO programme was expected to come to an end on the 31st of October 2021.

But as part of the exit arrangement by the management of the organisation, trainees were later told to remain at post waiting for further directives.

Its been two months today since these trainees were told to remain at the post but still no tangible updates were given to them.

Most trainees are of the view that the NABCO programme has ended. While others called for the payment of their 4 moths stipends arrears even if management will not extend their contract again.

But it seems things are about to change, as the management has come out with an official circular addressing the current happenings of the programme.

UPDATE ON THE NATION BUILDERS CORPS (NABCO) SCHEME 2022

We bring you warm greetings from the Secretariat of the Nation Builders Corps (NABCO). This circular is to offer updates on current issues affecting
the work of the organisation.

CPTP Trainees

Following the leave granted for the current cohort of trainees on the programme, kindly evaluate the current situation and update your line managers as follows:

  1. Trainees at post and post remain viable.
  2. Trainees not at post and reasons.
  3. Non-viable placements indicate dates from when placement became non-viable.
  4. Exited trainees since the end of October 2021.

On payments, we await funds to settle the months validated including arrears owed for Heal Ghana trainees, New Cards, as well as those owed from specific validation errors.

Kindly avoid breaking ranks, by obsessively seeking updates on trainee payments.

It is unprofessional and insinuates vested interest aside from your recognised role as a staff of the organisation.

Exit Arrangements, Training, and Career Opportunities

Our trainees need continued monitoring; accurate data on each trainee in
your district and region are more important than at any time in the
programme.

Our exit preparation training will continue tailored to support trainees make critical decisions affecting their future careers.

Kindly avoid moving trainees across placements at this stage; you will be liable for sabotaging their prospects with organisations they have had long
service with. Seek advice from superiors when not sure of the situation.

Staff Replacements

Regional Coordinators are encouraged to update the Head Office on
the current staff situation at the start of the year.

Existing vacancies need to meet the protocols for recruitment, and these are to be forwarded to the attention of the Chief Executive.

Please note, for information purposes, that replacements are done in consonance with the terms of engagement of existing staff.
