The NABCO trainee’s logbook is a book given to all Nabco trainees to document their participation in the training programmes organized by NABCO and its module implementation partners(MIPS).

The Logbook is to be filled out each column completely by each trainee, have a line manager, RTC/Regional /monitor, and District coordinator signed and stamp at the end of each section and keep in their records.

When filling the NABCO Logbook, each trainee is expected to write the Date, Training title, Objective of training, Training outcome, What they’ve learned.

See below the detailed NABCO Training Dates, Objectives, and Training Outcomes For Filling of Logbooks.

It’s worth noting that, the dates for the training may vary by region and district So you have to remember the exact dates and fill in there. But all in all, below are some of the dates by a particular district selected.

Date: 26/08/2019

Training Title: NDPAS Training

Objective of Training: To Introduce the NDPAS project to trainees and also equip them with the requisite knowledge of how to carry out the exercise in their various districts

Training Outcome: By the end of the training, trainees should be able to know what is NDPAS? Why the introduction of NDPAS? How to use the Tablets for the Exercise and how to carry out a successful exercise?

What have you Learned: I have learned why the need for digitization of houses in Ghana, how to use the NDPAS App for the Exercise, how to take a GPS coordinates of a structure, uses of a tablet, and the various functions of the tablet for the National Digital Property Addressing System.

Date: 11/10/2019

Training Title: NABCO One Year Anniversary Celebration Training

Objective of Training:  To celebrate the NABCO one-year milestone, What’s Next after NABCO, The Launch of the NSTA, and the introduction of NABCOs three Exit plans to Trainees.

Training Outcome: The trainee outcomes were clearly specified by the resource persons as follows: By the end of the training, trainees should be able to choose one of the exit plans and prepare for them.

What have you Learned? The introduction of the NABCO exit plans which include permanent employment, further learning, and entrepreneurship. I also learned that, After the three-year contract with NABCO, trainees will be given the chance to select one of the above exit plans for consideration base on our work performance and NABCO KIPs. I also learned about how to draft a winning CV and what employers need from me when recruiting. The Launch of NSTA as a learning and human capital development portal for trainees to acquire new skills, upskilling, and reskilling talents.

Date: 31/10/2019

Title of Training: NABCO Skills and Talent Training (NABCO Academy)

Objective of Training: To introduce the NSTA Platform to trainees, take trainees through the page navigation on the platform and guide trainees on how to register on the swayam learning platform.

Training Outcome: At the end of the training, I was able to tell what is NSTA, why the introduction of NSTA, what it seeks to achieve, and how to login to the SWAYAM Platform and begin a course. The training was a success as the resource person took his time to go through the steps by steps training.

What have you learned? I have learned how to create a Gmail account using my NABCO reference Number, How to login to the NSTA platform to choose a course, How to start to take a course from an international lecturer. And above all, I have learned a lot from the course tutor on the SWAYAM platform.

I also learned that the NSTA is to enable trainees to transition through retention, entrepreneurship, and further Learning. These skills development tools in addition to the trainee’s workplace practical skills acquired are to enable every trainee to transition through the exit pathways.

Date: 16/01/2020

Training Title: NABCO Career Pathways Roadshow:

Objective of Training: To officially introduces the career pathways transition process (CPTP) to trainees and also help them in making the right choice when selecting their exit plans.

Training Outcome: The Roadshow was to remind us to put seriousness to work and that, NABCO is not About sharing GHS 700.00 but rather helps to build human capacity for further career.

What have you learned?

The CEO reminded us that, we should strive in branding ourselves for future job opportunities rather than to be known for the wrong reason. That the Scheme is about Investing in the trainees in order to have a historical growth.

We were also made to know that, the value-added component of the scheme would be achieved via Guaranteed work placement, Continue training and learning as well as exposure to a range of special projects all aimed at enhancing the future employability of the trainees.

Training Title: NDPAS Second Training

Objective of Training:  To reinform NDPAS trainees about the NDPAS project and also equip them with the requisite knowledge of how to carry out the exercise in their various districts.

Training Outcome: By the end of the training, trainees should be able to use the Tablets for the Exercise and how to carry out a successful exercise.

What have you learned: how to take GPS coordinates of a structure, use of the NDPAS App, uses of a tablet, and the various functions of the tablet for the National Digital Property Addressing System.

Date: 2/11/2020

Training Title: NABCO Trainees Career Pathway Transition Process Training

Objective of Training: To introduce trainees to the NABCO CPTP, to train trainees on how to log in to the portal and fill in the CPTP forms, and also guide trainees on how to properly submit their application on the Career pathways transition portal.

Training Outcome: By the end of the training, trainees should be able to login to the NABCO CPTP and select one of the exit pathways plans, fill in the relevant fields, and provide the needed documents for consideration in the chosen pathways plan.

What have you learned: How to login to the CPTP, How to select one of the CPTP, why the need to submit my CPTP application form, and what to do if I find difficulty in completing the career pathways form on the CPTP.
